The Rev. Laura Lockey (she/her)

Chaplain and Advisor

Laura is an Episcopal priest, and she served churches in Alaska and Mississippi before being called to campus ministry in Harrisonburg. All aspects of ministry bring her joy, and campus ministry is her passion. She is married to Russell, a Coast Guard veteran. They have 3 sons who are in college. She enjoys gardening, baking and road trips.

Jordan Tan (she/they)

Senior Warden

Jordan is a junior Dance and Psychology major with minors in Honors and Chinese. Her favorite Canterbury moment is either when Jessica gets super excited about the prayer cube, or the time she dragged Lynn into doing a puzzle with her for 2 hours. In her free time she enjoys singing, playing violin, and playing games with friends.

Katie deForest (she/her)

Hospitality Management

Katie is a sophomore kinesiology major with a pre-physical therapy minor. She loves spending time with her friends, reading, and exercising in her free time. She is so happy to have joining the vestry at Canterbury!

Cannon Randle (he/him)

Staff Advisor

Cannon works in the Office of Annual Giving at James Madison. He is originally from Tallahassee, FL, where he graduated from Florida State University in Spring 2022 with degrees in psychology and philosophy. He loves Canterbury because it's a friendly community where everyone feels welcomed and cared for. In his free time, Cannon enjoys reading, hiking and cycling.

Leah Ballinger (she/her)

Social + Treasurer

Leah is a junior psychology and anthropology double major in the pre-forensic program and in her free time she loves to play cozy video games and rock climb. Her favorite moment at Canterbury was having apple cider slushies at Showalter's apple orchard on our annual trip.

Margaret "Ettie" Miller (she/her)

Junior Warden

Ettie is a senior Intelligence Analysis major with a minor in History. After classes and ROTC you can find Ettie drawing, baking, or working out. She looks forward to good company and delicious meals at Canterbury every Sunday.

Rides Coordinator

Lucy is a junior psychology major. She loves doggies and the beach and looks forward to church every Sunday.
